Q&A on Generous News

Why did you create generous news?

To aggregate cutting edge news on generosity and issues that impact generosity.  There are tons of fascinating stories, statistics and testimonies on the web.  This site combs through them and picks out the best ones for you.  Think Drudge Report for generosity and money news stories.

How do I best use the site?

Three ways:

1.  Sign up to receive generous news to your email.  Then when new stories are posted you receive a brief synopsis of the story by email.  You can quickly read the synopsis, decide if you want to read the full story and click through.

2.  Click on one of the categories to see stories sorted accordingly.  So if you’re interested in churches and want to see stories related to it, click on the church category.  Same goes for professional advisors, givers, ministries and communities.

3.  Click on one of the tags to see stories related to a particular theme.  You might be interested in the latest stories with generosity statistics, so click on the statistics tag.  Or perhaps technology and how generosity relates to it peaks your interest, then click on technology.  There are dozens of tags available on the front page.

How often do you update the site?

When we find stories that might be of interest to you.  This could be daily.  Or it could be weekly.

How can I send you a link to an interesting story for the site?

Email it to Patrick at pjohnsongg@gmail.com

Can I promote my product on this site?

No.

Why can’t I post comments?

This site is not designed to be a traditional blog  – it’s a news aggregator.  It just gives you a short synopsis on interesting stories so that you can quickly read an overview, decide if you want to read the story and then click through to the source.
